The interests of partners in business, research, public institutions, and NGOs determine the actual stops between the main stops of each stage. NOVARA-expedition™ will then align these interests.

30 stops with 29 stage are planned for NOVARA-expedition™:
Trieste – Gibraltar – Cape Verde – Cape Town – Seychelles – Mascat – Colombo – Chennai – Nicobar Islands – Singapore – Jakarta – Manila – Hong Kong – Shanghai – Mariana Islands – Salomon Islands – Sydney – Auckland – Tahiti – Galápagos Islands – Lima – Valparaiso – Buenos Aires – Rio de Janeiro – Trinidad – Miami – Boston – Azores – Mallorca – Trieste
The journey will take 24 months. The journey duration and the final destinations between the two main stops of each station will depend on the projects and actions. Per main stop a stopover of 5-14 days is intended.
